We have been practicing women’s health consultations in Rocklow Medical Centre for many years offering contraception, coils, health checks, fertility assessments and perimenopause / menopause treatments.

Dr Linsey Mason and Dr Niamh Scanlan have a special interest in women’s health including menopause care for many years. Our doctors have Irish Menopause Society training, and are member of The British Menopause Society which keeps them up to date in best practice care.

Due to word of mouth and special requests Dr Mason and Dr Scanlan are offering female patients women’s health consultation. One of the most popular you have enquired about is the Perimenopause/Menopause Care consult.

Perimenopause and Menopause Care Consult involves:

​

1. A pre-assessment questionnaire on arrival- including brief medical history and review of troublesome symptom’s at present.

​

Firstly an appointment with our nurse for blood tests, blood pressure and some measurements.

​

2. A 40 minute consultation with Doctor including:

- Health assessment- BP, BMI, family history, review of complaints

- Blood tests specific to your needs are taken on the day 

- Discussion about symptoms, treatments options and information resources.

- Referral for DEXA bone scan if required.

3. A written report of planned treatments decided is given before leaving and if required a prescription sent on the day.

​

Included is a follow up phone call in 2-4 weeks ( decide time on first consult) to discuss results and progress. This can be followed by an emailed report including blood test results if requested.

COST:

Due to time required the first consultation is €180 including follow up call. 

Follow up Consultation with your Doctor in practice is €60.
