Coils:

Our team is fully trained in the fitting and removal of all coils - Mirena, Kyleena, Jaydess, Copper and Ballerine. If you wish to have a coil fitted 3 appointments are recommended.

The 1st visit to decide which type of coil best suits you, explain what to expect and answer any questions you have.  

 

The 2nd visit is to fit the device and the 3rd visit is a check up afterwards.

If you are aged 17 - 35 years old, these consultations are FREE under the HSE contraceptive scheme. 

We accept referrals from other GPs and patients who attend different practices.

 

The Contraceptive injection:

Also known as the “Depo” , is an injection of hormones into your muscle given every 12 weeks. 

 

The Implant:

Also known as the “Bar” , is a very small plastic rod placed under the skin under local anaesthetic.
